The extraordinary ancient site of Stonehenge and historic Royal Windsor are must-see destinations—and there’s no better way to explore than with an experienced tour guide. We’ll drive you to the historic royal residence of Windsor Castle in one of our air-conditioned cars. Then after your Windsor experience it's a spot of lunch and then on to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Stonehenge-one of the most famous Neolithic monuments in the world.
You start your tour with a stop off at Eton—home town of the renowned school with the same name. Famous Etonians include Prince William, Boris Johnson, George Orwell and Hugh Laurie.
Tour the Interior State Apartments (containing one of the most important private art and artifact collections in the world), Queen Mary’s famous Doll’s House, The Great Hall, St George’s Chapel (burial place of Kings and Queens).
Then stroll down the majestic 'Long Walk', a tree-lined avenue, three miles longs, which starts at the George IV Gateway at Windsor Castle and ends at the magnificent Copper Horse statue—an 1831 equestrian statue of King George III. Keep an eye out for the famous red deer that frequent the park and ancient woodlands, then explore the castle neighborhood and charming old streets of Windsor.
Then it's off to the ancient site of Woodhenge where you'll see pillars marking the positions of Neolithic wooden posts aligned to the summer solstice sunrise and which have long since rotted away. It's an important World Heritage Site and will certainly whet your appetite for the main attraction—Stonehenge.
Visit one of world’s most spiritual sites–the stone circle at Stonehenge. This is masterpiece of engineering built 4,500 years ago. But why was it built? And how? You can also explore the ‘Neolithic houses’, and see tools that our ancient relatives would have used in their day to day lives.
On site is the Stonehenge Visitor Centre where you can see artifacts from the time of the Stonehenge builders. Outside there's a display of Neolithic Houses, there's a cafe and curated exhibitions too.
Our experienced drivers will help you tailor your day to get the most from your Stonehenge and Windsor Castle trip, find you a great place for afternoon tea or the best shop for souvenirs.
